Established in Wangaratta Victoria, Connex Group is a multidisciplinary company providing Engineering Design Consultancy and a specialist workshop Fabrication Modelling service.
Since our inception, Connex Group has grown into a trusted partner for clients across regional and metropolitan Australia. We specialise in structural steel detailing, delivering high-quality 3D modelling and workshop drawings that support efficient fabrication and construction outcomes.
In 2017, we expanded our capabilities to include structural engineering to, further strengthening our ability to provide an integrated, efficient and practical solutions. Today, our engineering team brings together decades of combined industry experience, supporting projects from concept through to completion.
Our success has been built on a strong commitment to our people, our clients, and the quality of our work. We pride ourselves on clear communication, attention to detail, and delivering outcomes that add real value to every project.

Meet the Team
Kevin Feldtmann
Director
Kevin has over 23 years’ experience in the industry. He began his business journey starting up Quantech Design with his business partner in 2005. Ten years later he took the next step by creating Connex Group. As the Director, Kevin oversees business development, strategic planning and has a key development role in all aspects of the business.
Damian Watson
General Manager of Operations & Technology
Since 2010, Damian has been a member of the Connex staff. Damian, who holds an Advanced Diploma in Engineering and Project Management, rose through the ranks from junior detailer to the position he currently holds. Damian oversees our modelling and detailing teams. Damian also has extensive experience in Tekla Structures training and customisation and point cloud scanning which benefits both our team’s efficiency and the needs of our clients.
Karl Hutchinson
SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER B.Eng Civil, CPEng, NER, FIEAust
Karl has worked locally in the Engineering Consulting industry since 1997 and joined Connex Group in 2017 to start up the engineering stream of the business. Karl leads a team of five experienced engineers and drafting staff to provide detailed engineering documentation across the commercial, industrial, government and residential sectors. Karl is a Chartered Engineer and listed with the National Engineering Register.
Rob Mundy
Senior Construction modeller/ Team Leader
Rob joined Connex in 2017 as a construction modeller coming from a background in timber frame detailing. Rob is at the helm, leading a team of construction modellers. Rob has a broad experience in residential, large-scale commercial, industrial, and delicate government infrastructure projects such as prisons, hospitals, schools and youth justice centres.
