Connex Group provided 3D modelling of structural steel and precast panels for the Corio Bay Dairy Group’s $55 million organic milk spray drying facility in Geelong, Victoria. The plant is designed to process up to 200,000 litres of fresh organic milk per day, producing powder for use in infant nutritional formulas across both domestic and international markets.

As a food and beverage facility, the project demanded a heightened focus on hygiene. Connex’s modelling addressed the practical requirements of a hygiene environment, ensuring all structural steel was designed to allow efficient washdown and eliminate surfaces where dust or contaminants could accumulate.

Connex worked closely with the design team and process engineers to achieve seamless coordination across all structural and architectural elements. This collaborative approach enabled large process equipment to be planned for installation at staged intervals throughout construction, supporting efficient sequencing without compromising programme or design intent.
